DG Digest: OSHA extends comment period for chemical handling rules. EPA delays usage controls on Trichlorethylene solvent.

August is ending already! Next weekend is the Labor Day holiday, marking the traditional end of the summer season. Let’s all be extra safe in whatever we do to enjoy the long weekend. The agency continued its delay on enforcement of new provisions affecting the use of Trichlorethylene solvents under the TSCA. See the details here:

OSHA

The agency extended the comment period on numerous rules affecting the handling of various industrial chemicals as well as other safety issues. The extensions all run for an additional two months from the original close dates of each item. For details, see the OSHA listing in the 8/20/2025 Federal Register publication, linked to here:
