
It’s mid-June and in many places around the country, school will be letting out for the summer. That means lots of excited children racing around and who may not be as attentive as they should be to traffic, so let’s all be extra careful with our driving to help our kids start a safe summer break. The Juneteenth federal holiday also occurs this week; it’s the anniversary of the day in 1865 when the last African-American people enslaved in the old Confederacy learned that they had been freed.
