IATA Lithium Battery Handling Guidance Update
Fresh off the presses, so to speak, IATA has released its revised guidance document for handling Lithium Batteries for 2019. The new document takes into account the changes that have bene incorporated into the 60th edition of the DGR. The agency issued new guidance for the safe handling and disposition for recalled un-deployed vehicle airbags. This action creates important new requirements for airbag repair and replacement organizations, including storage limits and recordkeeping minimums.
