The Labor Day week is over, and the last of the summer holidays has passed. Along with the return to school for children, this time of the year often portends a busier regulatory schedule as regulators, like everyone else, get back to being busy. FMCSA
The FMCSA announces that it will hold a public listening session concerning potential changes to its hours-of-service (HOS) rules for truck drivers. The September 14, 2018, meeting will be held at the U.S. Department of Transportation, 1200 New Jersey Avenue SE, Washington, DC 20590. You may submit comments electronically as well. PHMSA
The agency announced a new set of Special Permit actions. As is often the case, issues involving lithium batteries and cylinders for gases feature prominently in the announcements. See all the details right here:
