DG Digest: PHMSA Publishes Incident Reporting FAQ’s

PHMSA publishes a new FAQ project installment.

PHMSA

The agency has published another section in its ongoing “Frequently Asked Questions” or FAQ project. The idea is to offer a general set of informational guidelines about how PHMSA regards its regulations in terms of meaning and intent. This newly released section deals with incident reporting.

The agency also extended the comment period for its “FAST Act” related NPRM related to real time reporting requirements for hazardous materials movements on railroads. The new period extends to October 27th, 2023.
