Brrrr!!! We’re getting into the coldest and snowiest part of the year in much of the country, and we have at least a couple of months to go to really see a chance of relief. So, make sure that your company’s winter weather plan is operating correctly. Snow and ice should be clear of pedestrian pathways, keep those storm and dock drains clear, be on the lookout for roof leaks, and pay special attention to those who must work out of doors. It doesn’t take long for frostbite and other winter dangers to develop if someone Is not prepared and getting adequate indoor break time. Safety first, all winter! Here’s the latest news:

The agency has created a web landing page to help users of DOT 3AL cylinders track any requirements pertaining to their safe testing and transport for testing. The cylinders were the subject of a safety advisory last summer. See the new webpage here:
The agency has also created a guidance document for micromobility devices (like scooters, etc.) powered by lithium ion batteries. While aimed primarily at the consumer, the guidance may nevertheless be of interest to DG stakeholders that deal with such batteries. See the guidance here:

The agency published a short list of corrections modifying its recently released new rule that offered minor amendments and technical corrections to the FMCSR. Find the new corrections list here:

The agency published a modified operational status agreement with the CAL-OSHA state safety agency in California. The status agreement spells out the responsibilities of the state and federal partners in administering California’s safety laws. Stakeholders in the Golden State may wish to take a look:
