Here we are at mid-June already! The kids will be getting out of school across the country this week, so be sure to keep an extra traffic eye open for excited children in places where they may not have been for several months. Help keep our community streets safe for kids. Here’s the latest from the regulatory world:
ICAO TI
A second Corrigendum has been released revising the 2025-2026 ICAO Technical Instructions or TI. The TI is the UN Model regulation that largely serves as the legal basis for the more widely (operationally) employed IATA DGR. This new Corrigendum is quite brief and largely consists of minor updates to paragraph structures and email addresses. See the new revision here:
PHMSA
The agency released its latest tranche of Special Permit (SP) actions. Find the results at the three provided links:
OSHA
The agency issued an ICR related to its Outreach and Training Programs; specifically, the user forms that interested parties complete in order to participate in the programs. See the ICR here:
DOT
The agency published a final rule removing disparate impact analyses from its regulatory structure. This will impact any USDOT governed subagency’s rulemaking going forward. See the details and expected outcomes here:
CPSC
