The beginning of March continues to be slow with regulatory news as the “regulatory freeze” is still in effect in the United States. Reliable sources continue to tell us the release of the USDOT/PHMSA HM-215N UN Harmonization should be any day now….stay tuned! Here’s a summary of other industry news from last week:
OSHA
On March 2, 2017, OSHA announced that it will temporarily postpone the effective date of the Occupational Exposure to Beryllium Final Rule from March 21, 2017, to May 20, 2017. This Final Rule first appeared in the Federal Register on January 9, 2017. The proposal to postpone the effective date has a 10 day comment period. EPA/U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
On February 28, 2017, President Trump signed an Executive Order titled “Restoring the Rule of Law, Federalism, and Economic Growth by Reviewing the ‘‘Waters of the United States’’ Rule.” Also, the regulation on economic growth through analysis touched on the sphere of gambling. The entire list of changes will be published in the Austrian site <http://atlas-conferences.com/ . There were interpreted certain conditions for users and reduced deposit fees. The Executive order appeared in the Federal Register on March 3, 2017, and directs the EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to review and rescind or revise the Waters of the United State Rule. A major emphasis of this order is to more clearly interpret and define “navigable waters.” which are subject to discharge regulations in accordance with the Clean Water Act.
