It’s Valentine’s Day! Hopefully there is something sweet in store for you and your family for it. Enjoy it! In a regulatory sense, mid-February finds things relatively “business-as-usual,” with some of the typical items promulgated over the last week. Here’s the latest:
PHMSA
The agency published it’s latest raft of Special Permit actions, with some of the typical issues addressed—batteries, tanks, etc. See them here:
EPA
The agency has extended the comment period for its proposed changes to handling of risk assessments of asbestos under the TSCA program. The new deadline date is March 1st. See more here.
FMCSA
The agency is modifying the vision standard for CDL drivers with a minor correction. See it here.
FRA
The agency reauthorized several ICR’s, including collections of information regarding violations of safety practices surrounding the carriage of hazardous materials. See the renewals here.
